These specially commissioned illustrations are from Pageant magazine’s February, 1951 edition, produced by Alexander Leydenfrost, famous for realistic impressions. The edition took a look at what would happen in America if an A-bomb (atomic bomb) hit. The exodus illustration is especially good, and the whole layout realistic. It’s an online post from SF Weekly.
