Road Movie: Impossible Life in Palestine @ TIFF

There are always a few hotly anticipated entries in the Toronto International Film Festival (#TIFF) and this year’s buzz includes the creatively presented Road Movie, about roads rarely seen and voices rarely heard.   Here’s an excerpt from the festival program.  And then have a look at the movie trailer below.   Haunting, elegant and moving.

“Presented on six double-sided walls and comprised of a series of short films, Elle Flanders and Tamira Sawatzky’s powerful and beautifully nuanced installation, Road Movie, examines contemporary life in Palestine. Residents of the West Bank are confronted with a segregated and impossible road system made all the more problematic and unpredictable by shifting political currents.”  Toronto International Film Fesitval official program website.
