Speed: Art of the Auto

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts has legends on wheels. Speed: The Art of the Performance Automobile showcases 19 cars that exemplify the best in the art, design, engineering and aerodynamics of their eras.  (Above: 1952 Chet Herbert “Beast III” Streamliner, designed in a wind tunnel)

-1938 Mormon Meteor III, the famous Bonneville racer that holds more long distance speed records than any other automobile in history.  Hand crafted with a Curtis Conquerer aircraft V-12 engine.

The Ferrari 375MM

Jaguar XK-SS, one of just 16 built, this car was originally owned by film star Steve McQueen.
