Jacqueline Lou Skaggs: The Art of Pennies

Jacqueline Lou Skaggs deliberately moved from making “pictorial” images to painting them on found pennies. She says she originally intended to spend the painted pennies or toss them away, but her plans were foiled when people bought the paintings. The series of 12 small works is called Tondi Observations.   1. “(waiting for Picasso)” is NOT a part of the title on the artist’s site. it should be removed from the above caption “Field of sleeping Peasants”.
