Taras Boychuk was born in Ukraine, and moved to Canada in 2004. He began his career in 1982 in architecture at Lviv Polytechnic University in Ukraine. In 1992, he exhibited in Ukrainian Art & Literary Club in New York.

This artist is so powerful; he reminds me of wester Canadian artist Emily Carr and her magnificent pieces on totem poles and trees. Also, a bit of the works program artists during the American depression of the 20’s. Mariannelarsenreninger.com

I agree 100 per cent, especially re Emily Carr (one of my favorites). The angular boldness and the colors definitely reference the depression era U.S. style. Very astute. Thank you for taking the time to leave those thoughts.
