Quick Hits: Poetry in the Water

The illustrations of Spanish artist Sonia Alins are a well-mixed combination of surrealism and visual poetry, such as in this allegorical representation of Japanese bath culture.

Above, from the multi-award-winning artist’s Water Women Series, here.

Her swimming images also encompass sea creatures.  Above: Art for “What I learnt from whales”, written by Elizabeth Sulis Lim, published in issue #47 of “Oh Comely” magazine. London, UK.

This artwork belongs to “The swimmers,” a series about the pride and happiness of being women, expressed through choreographies that celebrate femininity.
