Swedish artist and graphic designer Nina Johansson has been posting these daily ink drawings lately, saying she’s “trying to rediscover her sleeping imagination.” She’s been a favorite of mine for a long time and I don’t think her imagination is much in jeopardy.
Los Angeles illustrator Stephanie Birdsong created this black-cat-a-day sketchbook for October. Black cats. Halloween. Nice. (Above: Days 14 & 15: Get out your masks) The whole series is here.
Klimt sketch studies done at the Getty Museum,
Here’s another run of work by Polish artist Gosia Herba, this time from her irresistible sketchbooks.
These background only sketches are from Bruno Laurent, a French artist who works primarily in animation. His eye for detail is exquisite.
These arresting illustrations are from Wroclaw-based Gosia Herba, sought after by a variety of Polish magazines. Her bold style, imaginative content and glorious colours warrant a closer look at her entire website, here.
