Gravity of Dreams: The Long Night

This exhibition of work by artist Pavlo Bovdur explores the quiet emotional landscapes that emerge after dark.

Snow-covered streets, empty roads, late night cafés, parked cars, glowing windows, rain, and drifting fog become more than familiar scenes; they become spaces where memory, silence, and imagination meet.

This series is inspired by the moments we often overlook: walking home through falling snow, driving alone at night, pausing beneath a streetlight, or finding warmth in the glow of a distant window. These ordinary experiences carry a quiet emotional weight, inviting reflection and creating a sense of comfort and nostalgia.

Pavlo Bovdur is a Ukrainian-born visual artist, sculptor, and art professor based in Winnipeg. Working across painting, glass sculpture, and mixed media, he creates surreal landscapes shaped by memory, symbolism, and subconscious perception. 

His works are in the opening exhibition of the new Mayberry Fine Art gallery in Winnipeg through Aug. 27, 2026.
