Quick Hits: Remedios Varo

This recent acquisition by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) is by the late Remedios Varo (1908-1963), a surrealist worth knowing.  Raised by a Catholic mother and an atheist engineer father, these two forces — the spiritual and scientific — heavily influenced Varo’s artistic career.
