Toronto artist Stewart Jones paints the light and shadows of the urban environment, spotlighting the angles and spaces of buildings and streetscapes. He’s in a group exhibition of the Canadian Art Collective through Nov 30, 2012.
“I am interested in what happens in shadows. How the cityscapes cut the sky. As the minutes and hours pass through a day, the character of a space changes. I paint to invite you to see for yourself.” -Artist statement.
Stewart Jones completed a four-year Associate Diploma in Drawing and Painting at the Ontario College of Art, and a diploma in Classical Animation from Sheridan College, Oakville. He is involved in numerous art projects including short film development, commercial illustration and album artwork design.
