These digital works by Prague-based 3D illustrator Filip Hodas are from his ongoing series exploring the dystopian world of pop-culture icons.
His post-apocalyptic art depicts symbolic icons like PacMan, Hello Kitty and Mickey Mouse in desolate landscapes.
The images are incredibly stunning, shocking and eerie all at the same time, reflecting the destructive relationship between mankind and the environment – From Digital Arts
His work has garnered Hodas half a million followers on Instagram. That’s because the surreal, decaying symbols “resonate with a generation experiencing a new digital age . . . while living in a world that’s on the brink of collapse,” as one interviewer put it.

Wow, those are some powerful images. I liked how the Hello Kitty one looks angry. The Mickey Mouse one did give me a cathartic smile in some weird way.
