This fabulous video shows the work of world-renowned costume and set designer Susan Hilferty. She has designed more than 300 productions around the world, including for Broadway (Wicked, Funny Girl, Present Laughter, Spring Awakening, Lestat, Into the Woods, and August Wilson’s Radio Golf). She has also done more than 100 off-Broadway shows, innumerable regional-theatre productions, opera, circus, live-music events and dance.
The exhibition Something Wicked: Susan Hilferty Costumes (at San Antonio’s McNay Art Musum) is a celebration of Hilferty’s collaborations with the makers and artisans who bring her designs to life, including dress makers, drapers, tailors, shoe makers, milliners, wig makers, embroiderers, painters, and mask makers.
