Drea Cohaneย is a visual artist who was inspired to take up art as a means of building new neural pathways after a brain injury. What started out as an effort to enhance brain plasticity, has now become a lifelong creative endeavour (Above: What Binds Us)

Cohane’s works have been exhibited in Canada, United States, and the UK and are held in private collections worldwide including Canada, United States, Mexico, Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Netherlands and Finland.

Drea is fascinated by human nature; more specifically, by the interior lives we carry within us. These enigmatic inner landscapes are mostly kept hidden from a passerby, but will sometimes, and often fleetingly, reveal themselves in a passing gesture or look – from Tacit Collective, which represents her.

Very interesting style!!
Fantastic work!
Wonderful work. I was especially interested in the neuroplasticity aspect.
Yes, me too – I’m aware that art is often suggested for traumatic brain injuries but I don’t think I’ve seen the work that results before. Something worth exploring.
