
The circus can be mesmerizing when it comes to town.
We sat on a convenient bench across the road to draw. Now and again, a clown rushed in and out – we didn’t see any elephants, but could hear the performance. . . and saw a mongolian camel, ponies and a donkey.

The circus came to town in Kandern this week, and everyone was talking about seeing the elephant walking down the main street. Although I didnโt have a chance to see the circus, I did take a break to sketch it.

A tiny circus stopped over at the camping site, in full view of our caravan. It consisted of a truck, a van and a moderate car; in total 5 adults 3 children, 2 goats and a Lama.

And then, of course, we have Cirque du Soleil, the mother of all circuses, which by the way is a Canadian company, and the largest contemporary circus producer in the world.
