Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist Seden Lai specializes in using paper as a primary medium for her sculptural and functional works.

At her design studio, Seden’s Workshop, her creations bridge sculpture and paper craft, including lamps, floral designs and pleated boxes.

Below, on Vimeo, a look at the artistic process and how a common material like paper can yield the most surprising creations.

After completing her studies in Industrial Design, Seden worked in the design industry for 8 years before establishing a practice working with paper, metal, and repurposed materials
