Dil Hildebrand – paintings like theatrical stage sets

In the Outside, an exhibition of new work by Dil Hildebrand, examines nature with shallow stages that echo theatrical sets.

Hildebrand “reminds us that the sheltering spaces we recognize in these paintings may not be a sanctuary because the outside world intrudes,” says Pierre-François Ouellette art contemporain (PFOAC) in Montreal. The Montreal-based artist talks about his works in the video below.
