Toronto-based sculptor Gosia says that what she’s feeling as she creates often gets trapped inside her art. These powerful polymer clay and gypsum works trigger similar emotions in a viewer, she says. (Above: Pearl 12x11x8)
Although she has training in illustration, this artist concentrates now on sculptures that balance a likeness of her model with an imagined figure – inspired by neo-romanticism and fantasy. (Pearl – above – is wall mounted)
A frequent exhibitor, she’s just been announced in the lineup of 250 participants in the 7th annual Artist Project, running in Toronto from Feb. 20-23, 2014. (Above: Open Your Eyes . . . 9.5 x 22 x 8″ | free-standing)
