Flemish artist Guy Mangelschots represents life after a climate apocalypse in these figurative paintings, done in late century modern style.
In this surreal series of environmentally aimed works – all titled Apocalypse – Mangelschots depicts cracked earth, adapted buildings and rising waters resulting from global warming. (Top: Apocalypse 2 /Above: Apocalypse 6)

These paintings are very striking and remind me of the writing advice ‘Show don’t tell.’ They show without telling. Really well done and visually compelling.
