Sketchbook Saturday – Originals
These sketchers have included photos of their original subject, so it’s easy to see how their artist eye interpreted.

From Flickr, here.

Urban Sketcher Sílvia Oliveras Canals was doing an exercise in sketching vignettes with this book.

Lots of original scene interpretation examples on the site of an artist who goes by nastroeniya

This sequence by Blue York is intriguing because (as is often the case with artists) the sketches are so much more than the original scene.

I love these so much. Mine are messy and not beautiful. Sigh. These make me want to be better.

I sure know what you mean, mine too (I wouldn’t dream of posting them, although I did send some in during the years that the Sketchbook Project was running) But I also love seeing what accomplished artists can do, for inspiration.

I keep trying and I guess that’s all I can do. LOL At least you sent them in. That’s great. And I agree…seeing what accomplished artists can do is inspiring. 🙂
