These new works by painter Matt Shane stem from the Montreal artist’s observations while wading in the pond of a friend in the Laurentians.
Shane’s exhibition at McBride Contemporain in Montreal just ended, but much about the series is covered in this video. Filmed between the gallery, the artist’s studio and the pond, it’s a fascinating glimpse into Shane’s creative process.
