A high-profile couple in the arts Bulger and Lash collected over 700 photographic objects created by commercial studio photographers, photojournalists, artists, and amateur users.

The photographs range from posed studio portraits to candid or photojournalistic images of ceremonies and receptions. Unique objects such as personal albums, elaborately framed portraits, hand-painted photographs, and photo buttons demonstrate the diverse ways that wedding photographs have historically been preserved and cherished.

The collection, assembled over more than 20 years, was donated to The Image Centre in Toronto in 2023. This exhibition was organized by the 2024–25 second-year students of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Film + Photograph Preservation and Collections Management graduate program: Samuel Gratton, Elaine Jones, Rebecca Tenaglia, and Harmony Trowbridge.
