British Columbia based Rudy Karel Schneeweiss is a Czech-trained artist who worked for years as an in-house architect for a series of chain stores after immigrating to Canada. Today, he is a full-time painter, sculptor and potter. These works in oil capture the scope of the B.C. interior in vivid colors and semi-surrealistic detail, for exquisite landscapes that are enhanced but not distorted. (Above: West Coast Symphony)
