Quick Hits: Early Beau Dick

Time for a different look at the late Beau Dick, acclaimed Northwest Coast carver, in an exhibition of pieces from his time as a developing artist. The exhibition coincides with the launch of Devoured by Consumerism, showcasing his life and work, produced in collaboration with Figure 1. Publishing

Early Works brings together pieces by Beau, made between 1978 and 1980 when he was just 23, and offers a unique glimpse into his artistic development. The exhibition is both a testament to Beau’s legacy and an exciting look at his creative output from an earlier decade – Show runs March 29 – May 11, 2019, Tanúyap Project Space, Fazakas Gallery, Vancouver.
