Julie Hawkins, based in Woodstock, Ontario, has exhibited her work in Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and New York City, and has been working as a professional artist for over twelve years.

“My paintings have started reflecting what’s going on in my life,” Hawkins says. “My work has many layers, some of them are joyous and beautiful, and some of them are ugly and dark. The painting process is a constant contemplation of what to keep and what to cover up . . . it is a process of creating, and of letting go.”
