Splendid. Thank you for posting, repositing, all this. What treasures — Cohen reciting “In Flanders Field,” Colville’s quietly poignant painting (you have to look twice, to notice what has caught her eye), and Lismer’s work. Am I correct that Lismer toured the battlefields in the immediate aftermath, and painted the stark desolation? I remember a show at the AGO, I think it was his work.
