What do you do when you’ve been Freshly Pressed three times on two blogs in seven months?

You genuflect to the story wranglers at Word Press who pick posts for the Front Page. Their finely attuned eye for what’s new or edgy or just plain wonderful is what placed these superb young artists on Freshly Pressed.

The two times Canadian Art Junkie has been featured, it’s brought emerging artists from my country to your attention. That’s the whole point of this blog. So kudos to Rachel MacFarlane, Freshly Pressed in November, and the Montreal duo of Allison Moore and Arthur Desmarteaux for Micropolis 2.0.

Huge numbers fell for American artist  Mark Penxa‘s quirky creatures, Freshly Pressed last month. He left a message on the post that he finally understood what bandwidth means.  And he sold some art.

There are plenty of other artists whose work is worthy of exposure here, and on lots of other blogs.  I don’t think there’s anything more important in the art world than showcasing young artists at the start of their careers.
