Mixed Media

Jérôme Rochette: Narratives in mixed media

Surprise it’s Me, mixed media on wood, 44 x 94

Biology, tattooing and street art influence the mixed media work of Quebec City artist Jérôme Rochette. He paints mainly on canvas using acrylic, spray paint, gesso, charcoal and markers. His work is symbolic, narrative and iconographic.

Can’t Hold Down, mixed media on wood, 44 x 94

Long Gone, mixed media on canvas, 48 x 48

Les Flamands, mixed media on canvas, 60 x 62

His works are definitely worth exploring.  See more at Galerie LeRoyer (installation view from 2017, above) or on Saatchi Art, here.  Or watch this video of a day in his studio for a better understanding of his technique.
