Shae Detar hand colors her photographs, the way it was done in the days before color processing. She experiments in her darkroom for painted images that range from whimsical to elegant to haunting. Nothing like this on Instagram.

Beautiful! These make me want to paint on digital prints again, as I don’t have much desire to go to the darkroom again but it does have such a specific aesthetic..and she exploits it perfectly!
