Camille, 24 x 24″ acrylic on canvas

A painter, illustrator and designer, Nick Dahlen is an emerging artist inspired by the classics.  His style is an arresting distillation of the artists who influenced him, including Picasso, Kandinsky and Le Corbusier. He is clearly one to watch.

Strong Girl, 50 x 50″

Based in Minneapolis, Dahlen’s style flowed from his early time in graffiti, when he was arrested for tagging at age 16, but he soon moved on to painterly exploration. Now, he does editorial and music industry work as well.

It’s easy to get lost in Dahlen’s sites, for the colour alone and also the elegant styling.
